In this case, it appears that the server didn't recognize that you were visiting the PDF file from this website. (The PDF files are "hotlink" protected, meaning that they must be clicked on from this site in order to load. This prevents other unscrupulous sites from leeching the bandwidth.) It's entirely possible that this system occasionally makes mistakes - hopefully not very frequently! Upon examining the logs, I’d recommend that you clear your cache and try again.
